This is a small explanation on how to upgrade your plastic rear idler wheels to the metal versions. You can use a screw driver or an appropriate drill bit to drill through the frame, then use the provided E-Clip with the upgrade to secure the wheel in place.

I figured a "Welcoming to tanking" video was well due, so here you are. This is for the new people to the hobby, for those who are totally new. This shows what to do when you get a tank, how to bind, what things do, etc.

This video will go over how to replace and even test a smoke unit in your Taigen tank. The tank used in this video is a Tiger 1 tank, but the process is the same for all the tanks:
- Unscrew the 2-3 screws holding the smoke unit in place.
- Remove the exhaust hoses from the unit or tank exhausts ports.
- Disconnect the smoke unit cord from the motherboard.
- Replace unit

Please make sure when testing your smoke unit to stay between 6-9V.

Here is a quick (somewhat) video of how to remove the toolboxes on the KV-1 tank. Since our toolboxes are metal, we will start by cutting the glue from the pins on the bottom side of the top hull as shown in the video. Make sure you separate it well, you can always fill it in later.
Next, we will use either a heat gun or a blow dryer (ask your gf or wife first or you might be down a tank) to heat tool box pins up. Make sure to keep the hot air moving and to not concentrate on one spot or you could warp your tank. Use your hand like I did in this video to gauge how hot it is. After you warm it up you should be able push the toolbox out of the hull like I did.
Be careful not to burn yourself like I did in this video. I got burnt twice by the same item lol.

Here is a better video of how to open our Tiger 1 tanks. The Tiger 1 is a HC series tank, meaning the top hull has a quick release mechanism. In this video I explain how to open the tank.
I start by detaching the air filter hoses from the top hull. This step is not needed if you have the late model Tiger 1 as they do not have the hoses to disconnect. After disconnecting the hoses I then will push them out of the way and find the lever above the driver side rear track. This lever is located right where the mud flap (accessory) is installed. Push open this lever and lift up on the top hull as I did in the video. Your whole top hull will open.

This is our Taigen early version Tiger 1 kit. It comes with an airsoft unit, infrared unit, and steel gearboxes so you know you are set no matter what path you chose to go down. Swapping the airsoft to infrared or vice-versa is pretty simple once you build it! Also with the provided ALL ENGLISH instructions and HD photos you should have no problem building this even as a beginner!
